Reishi, or Ling zhi, is one of the most celebrated mushrooms in Asian culture and where it has been linked to longevity, immunity and mental clarity. Known as “the king of mushrooms”, Reishi mushrooms are native to parts of Asia including China, Korea and Japan. Reishi mushrooms grow above ground and develop “a fruiting body” along with connective strands called mycelium which are ground down into powder form.
These medicinal mushrooms are naturally high in vitamin D2 to build immunity and vitamin B3 (niacin) to maintain energy levels and fight fatigue. Reishi mushrooms are also a source of copper and manganese which energise the body and contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
Stir a spoonful of Reishi mushroom powder into your morning coffee, blend into shakes and smoothies or mix into stir-fries, risottos and soups for a healthy boost.

Got the item on time, the quality is great.
We purchased these mushrooms purely based on the info above - they sounded well worth adding to our list of beneficial food supplements. The first time we used them: I sprinkled liberally on top of some rice we were having with a chilli but found the taste to be too strong and it over-powered the meal somewhat. Because we hadn't had them before: we don't know if they should taste quite this strong but next time; we simply used less and mixed it in with the chilli instead of just sprinkling it on the top of the rice.
Great price, and very good quality, and ridiculously fast shipment. Couldn't ask for more really!
I had tried another reishi powder which was nowhere near to the flavour and quality of the superfood brand. I love the reishi powder and use it for an umami taste on eggs, soups, as gravy browning and in stews. I haven’t tried it in smoothies or hot chocolate yet.
