Product description:
Maca is reputed to have natural insect-repellent properties and is sometimes grown alongside other highland crops such as bitter potatoes as Andean farmers believe it protects the underground tubers from pests. In the Junín region of Peru, maca is consumed in large quantities as it provides a readily available and highly nutritious food source in areas where traditional agricultural practices struggle.
Maca today thrives in these hostile environments, only growing at altitudes above 3,500 metres on poor rocky soils where acidity may exceed pH5, and is able to withstand high winds and temperatures as low as -10°C.
- Raw, Vegan, Gluten-Free and Kosher
- 100% natural ingredients – just pure raw maca powder

Delivery fine BUT this RECENT BUY was my first purchase & most benefits of the MACA are described as being most noticeable after at least 12 weeks! Thanks & good luck

Just ordered, but Iam very disappointed. You should let people know, the best way to take it is when the powder is gelatinised! And as a “superfoodoutlet” you shouldn’t put on the package to put it in smoothies in raw! There is nothing about where is it from also... no more from you thanks
Hi Marianne, I'm sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with the maca powder. This product is Raw Maca powder and so we are unfortunately unable to comment or advise on the use of a gelatinised version as we do not sell it. All of our product packaging goes through our technical team who hold many years' experience with Superfoods. In addition to this, all artworks are signed off by Trading Standards and the Soil Association (when Organic). Our Maca powder is from Peru and sourced from our long-standing supplier there, the product page has information regarding the origins of the product and some of the provenance if you'd like to take a look. Please get in touch via info@superfoodoutlet.co.uk so we can look to resolve this with you. Regards, Dan

I love maca with almond milk and raw honey or mixed with gratted apples and bananas and some nuts and barley malt extract or smoothies and juices...........perhaps maca spread mixed with cheese cream on a slice of bread too....or even home made ice cream.. ....heyyyyyyyyy there are so many variatons on it............the taste varies depending on other ingredients added.......so you never know until you try..............
